Dr. Matt Simons is an historian with a particular interest in social traditions and national identity in twentieth century England. He was educated at De Montfort University, Leicester, and holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in History. Matt has written for both academic and popular publications, including the Folk Music Journal and English Dance and Song magazine.
