Tim Perkins PhD, FTCL
Tim studied violin, viola and composition at Trinity College of Music, London. He later took a Fellowship Diploma at Trinity and followed this with a PhD in electro-acoustic string composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He performs as a violinist and guitar/keyboard player in his own ensembles, playing his own compositions, and has toured across the UK and Europe. He is also the co-founder and resident composer of the Oxford Proms, a summer series of classical concerts in Oxford.
